HELENE LYNN-NASH
Vice President of Creative Affairs

Helene Lynn-Nash came to Southern California from Minnesota with her family when she was fifteen. Passionate about theatre since  childhood, she went on to study it further in college.  She discovered film making soon thereafter, and shifted to a double  major in both film and theatre.

Professionally, Helene is known for developing and producing critically acclaimed movies and mini-series for  cable and television.  She has also developed television specials, theatrical productions, and documentary films.

In 1998, Helene joined The Kaufman Company as Vice President of Creative  Affairs where she is developing and co-executive producing cable, television and motion picture projects with the company's president, executive producer and director, Paul A. Kaufman.   Their current  slate of projects covers a broad spectrum of topics and genres, but at their heart, all explore human relationships.

Before joining The Kaufman Company, Helene was Vice President of Development for  Craig Anderson Productions.  Among the many produced projects she developed are "Dead By Sunset," a four hour miniseries for NBC based on Ann Rule's best selling true  crime drama and "A Step Toward Tomorrow," starring Judith Light with a special appearance by Christopher Reeve for CBS; "The Angel of Pennsylvania Avenue," for  the Family Channel as their Christmas special; the historical four-hour epic "True Women" for CBS starring Dana Delany, Annabeth Gish and Angelina Jolie, and also for  CBS "The Staircase," based on the legendary "miraculous staircase" in the Sisters of Loretto Chapel.  Another of her projects (produced since her departure), is "Songs in  Ordinary Time," by Malcolm MacRury based on Mary McGarry Morris' book (an Oprah selection), stars Sissy Spacek and Beau Bridges and was produced in association with John Coles' Talking Wall Pictures for CBS.

Prior to 1995, Helene developed movies and miniseries for five years as a movie executive with Lorimar Television, the world's largest supplier of television  programming.  She shared in the development and production of hundreds of hours of movies and mini-series.

Earlier in her career, Helene developed and associate produced "Mafia Princess,"  starring Tony Curtis and Susan Lucci for NBC, and "Fatal Judgement," starring Patty Duke for CBS.

Helene is the co-founder of Socially Speaking, a non-profit, educational and  fund-raising organization dedicated to family issues and the advancement of women's rights.
