JOANNE WHALLEY
plays RUBY, Pug's mother, a strong determined woman who never gives up. Whalley most recently starred as a beautiful but devious wife in The Guilty, opposite Bill Pullman, Whalley's feature film debut in the fantasy Willow, directed by Ron Howard, garnered her international attention. She also received critical acclaim for her
portrayal of the infamous Christine Keller, the call girl whose affairs rocked British parliament in Scandal with John Hurt and Bridget Fonda.
Her starring roles in two well-known British television series, Edge of Darkness and the popular The Singing Detective, proved a strong launching point for her motion picture career. Whalley also played the
title role in the CBS mini-series Scarlet, with Timothy Dalton as Rhett Butler. Born in Manchester, England, Whalley knew that she wanted to be an
actress from early childhood. Her background in and love of theatre remains an abiding passion and an ongoing part of her career. The variety of roles she performed on stage from Edward Bond to Chekov
prepared her for the different film roles she has been offered. Whalley makes her home in Los Angeles with her two young children. acclaimed ABC television series, The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles. Handpicked out of thousands of actors to star as the young adventurer, Flanery traveled all over the
world to shoot the series, which continues to be hugely successful overseas. Born in Lake Charles, Louisiana and raised in Houston, Texas, Flanery attended the University of St. Thomas to study for a business degree.
While there, he began doing theater and discovered his passion for acting. Upon graduation he relocated to Los Angeles to pursue his career. Within a year of being in Los Angeles, where he still resides,

COTTER SMITH plays SILAS, Ruby's wealthy next-door neighbor who becomes jealous when the drifter bunks in at Ruby's farm.
Smith's feature film credits include Lady Beware, Cameron's Closet and Life Form. On television he has guest starred on NBC's Trinity and HBO's Oz. He was a series regular on ABC's Equal Justice and recurring
roles on CBS's Orleans and Courthouse. Among his movies-of-the week are CBS' Remember Me and With Hostile Intent; ABC's Armed and Innocent, Bridge of Time and Desperate Journey.
On stage Smith has won a Los Angeles Critics Award for his performance in "The Tavern" and was nominated for the same award for "Borderline."
